Compare Swickis to Google and Yahoo

December 15, 2005

We have just added a link on every search results page for swickis that allow you to compare the results side by side with any of the main search engines.

The aim of doing this is to show how the results from swickis are dramatically more targeted than general seach engines.

Some good examples include: searching for slalom in Longboarding and searching for extract in Homebrewing

Side by side with Google makes this product even more useful, I want my users to have the best of both worlds.

I think I may have a problem with my swiki. The buzz cloud doesn’t appear to be updating like it used to.

I have two swikis, the one I am concerned about is the one named “MojoBot” at http://mariner.monkmojo.com

I have it on three different pages, could that be a problem?

Might I have too many search terms pre-loaded?

The buzz cloud that shows up on my / admin “edit buzzcloud” panel appears to be correct and updated compared to the one that shows up on my site.

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide!
